Former Eastern Cape Cope leader dies

Former Congress of the People leader in the Eastern Cape Sam Kwelita has died.

He died at 5.30am on Tuesday at the Life East London Private Hospital after a long illness.

Family spokesman Joe Kwelita said: “As the family we will start discussing funeral arrangements. We should know by tomorrow (Wednesday) more details about the funeral.”

Kwelita‚ a former MEC for social development in the Eastern Cape‚ was admitted to hospital three months ago.

 He was 54-years old.
