'Heater' possible cause of blaze at C-Live's house: Police

Police investigations are currently linking the blaze that saw popular DJ Clive 'C-Live' Shabalala lose his son to a 'heater' that was left on overnight.

This is according to the Jeppestown police station-based Warrant Officer Richard Munyai who also revealed that DJ C-Live, who was admitted to hi-care facility at a Johannesburg East hospital for burn injuries on Monday, has been discharged.

"Yes he was here yesterday to give his statement.

"I was speaking to the investigation officer and they are suspecting a heater caused the fire as the child was using it the night before but the investigation is still going on," said Warrant Officer Munyai.

C-Live lost his son Nadiff when his Bez Valley home caught fire on Monday morning.

He was admitted to hospital together with his other child.

The police said that his family opened an arson case on Tuesday while C-Live was still in hospital.
