Two people were killed and seven others seriously wounded after a 20-meter long wall suddenly toppled over in the western Chinese city of Lanzhou. 66ft long wall collapsed and buried nine pedestrians on a busy street.

The collapsed structure is made of bricks and was the exterior wall of a residential complex in Xigu District, downtown Lanzhou.

According to Daily Mail, there have been claims that a large gust of wind blew over a steel structure on a building site, which fell and struck the wall causing it to collapse.
