Two metro buses collided on Friday morning on Jan Smuts avenue, leaving one person dead and 41 passengers injured.
According to Johannesburg Metro Police Department spokesperson Edna Mamonyane one driver died in the crash.
Some of the passengers were still trapped on wrackage.
