“Mboro aleteng, hayo mathata. (In the presence of Mboro there are no problems,)” says Prophet Mboro.

The ever-generous prophet has defended his offering of R20,000 towards helping find Senzo’s killers as his normal offering in the community.

Speaking to Sowetan LIVE, Mboro, whose real name is Paseka Motsoeneng said he actually comes from the same neighbourhood as Kelly Khumalo. His church is five minutes away from her home.

He said he felt compelled to act as a community leader as he has always contributed towards sports. 

“There is a lot of things I do that people don’t know,” he said. “I have sponsored R1-million to our local football tournaments.”

He says this gesture is to encourage others to do good also.

“I am trying to make a contribution so that people may copy good deeds,” he said.

Being a giver is nothing new for Mboro.

In September the prophet said he was willing to donate R10 000 to each family that was affected by the Nigerian building collapse.

He had also claimed that he was just as gifted as TB Joshua. And can offer healing.

Mboro said his R20 000 rand donation will be handed over to the provincial commissioner’s office to add on to the R250 000 reward.

When asked about the crime around that area he said: “To be honest crime in our area is not that high. Maybe they [Kelly and Senzo] were affected because of their celeb status.  I mean they wanted a phone as they say.”

Mboro added that he adored Senzo’s football skills.

I liked the boy (Senzo) the way he played soccer was great. He was a good team player for Bafana Bafana,” he explains.

However he refused to mention the club he supports.

“I will never disclose any club that I support, I will lose fans.”
