Disgruntled delegates from Gauteng on Monday stormed out of the hall of the Economic Freedom Fighters' national people's assembly to nominate additional members to the party's command team.

"We would rather go back to the ANC," one chanted.

"Malema is a liar," said another.

The delegates were complaining about the nomination process that had just occurred at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.

The names of 35 members were typed out before the nomination process and handed to delegates.

They were then nominated and endorsed. The names that were not on the list were not endorsed.

The Gauteng delegation, which was the most vocal, refused to participate.

While outside singing and dancing, a small group told the media that the list was imposed on them.

"This was not democratic. They gave us this list. We did not nominate these people. Julius Malema is a liar," one of them said.

They burnt the list as they danced.

The group said Malema of using African National Congress tendencies to get his people into positions of power.

"How can you impose a list to delegates. If he wants to go to the ANC, he must go."

They sang that Malema was a traitor.
