President Jacob Zuma will answer questions on the cost of his trips to Russia between 2011 and 2014 in the Presidency's budgets, he said in written replies to Parliament on Monday.
"Costs related to the visits would be included in The Presidency's budgets for the respective years," he wrote.
In response to the Democratic Alliance's John Steenhuisen's request for more information on these trips, Zuma wrote that he had visited Russia three times during that period.
In July 2011 he participated in the meeting of the International Contact Group on Libya in his capacity as a member of the African Union ad hoc high level committee on Libya, he said.
In May 2013, Zuma and six ministers went to Sochi on a "working visit".
"During the visit I and President Vladimir Putin reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on critical regional and global issues of mutual interest," Zuma said.
Also in 2013 he went to the G20 Leaders Summit in St Petersburg in an effort to find ways to "boost sustainable, inclusive and balanced global growth".
He was accompanied by then Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan and Minister of International Relations Maite Nkoana-Mashabane.
