5 ways to cheat-proof your relationship over the holidays

Holiday season is very a jolly time but can be very stressful for relationships.

There is so much to do, from buying and wrapping presents to scheduling family festivities and travel that sometimes the biggest pressure is put on love relations.

The love may even fall off the radar – with some lovers applying for visas and leaving - or cheating during this time.

Here are a few tips to help you avoid falling into this trap:

1. Avoid fighting

Every relationship has its ups and downs; however picking a quarrel during festive season might open a door for a December special fling

2. Don’t be boring

Do not be that person who doesn’t feel like hanging out with your partner’s friends or not in the mood for a night out. Let loose and cuddle later.

3. Keep in contact, communicate consistently

Should your partner be leaving to visit family and you have to stay behind, do not allow the distance to be the barrier in staying in love. Keep in contact, commit to finding ways to not feeling lonely when they gone. Remind each other why you are in a relationship

4. Be available

Festive season, can get crazy, you may be on holiday and suddenly you have enough time to spend with family and friends and even party, but don’t let those things keep you apart from spending time together. Do not change the routine of your relationship just for a fun time.

5. Make time to (re)connect

In the flurry of parties, performances, and errands, it’s important to take time out as a couple. Put the kids to bed, shut down your devices, and enjoy a low-key evening sipping hot chocolate in front of the fire, or go for a drive with the radio off and your listening ears on.

Make your relationship work!
