Man takes pet tigers to work

"If I don't see them, I go mad," the Springs businessman was quoted as saying.

Ekurhuleni nature lover Goosey Fernandez loves his tigers so much he takes them to work, The Star reported.

"If I don't see them, I go mad," the Springs businessman was quoted as saying.

"It is such a pleasure to have my cats at work."

Fernandez owns a car workshop and the tigers walk around there, play with each other, and relax on the couch.

Fernandez has 11 tigers and three lions. The newspaper published pictures of two tigers in the workshop, 11-month-old Fido and four-month-old Arrow.

In one photo, Fido is sitting in the back of a bakkie and in another he lying down with a tyre around his head. In another photo, Arrow is taking his lunch break.

Fernandez also owns Panjo, who escaped from his bakkie while in transit in 2010, resulting in a province-wide search.
