OSCAR Pistorius could be banned from competition if the drugs allegedly found in his home turn out to be prohibited substances for athletes.
A former chairman of the SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport said yesterday that the mere possession of drugs was a doping offence, alongside other infringements such as trafficking and tampering with samples.
The Times reported yesterday that boxes of drugs and several syringes were found in Pistorius's home.
