Charges dropped over 'ritual' killing

CHARGES were yesterday withdrawn against an Indian couple in Makhado, Limpopo, who had been accused of being linked to an alleged ritual murder.

Police spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said the prime suspect, Tshikhudo Freddy Nethengwe, 38, had misled the police.

Mulaudzi said that Nethengwe claimed that he was owed R70000 and a vehicle as payment for his role in the murder.

Police also established that Nethengwe had entered the couple's shop with a human arm of the murdered woman, in his attempt to implicate the couple.
