A 26-year-old man is expected to appear in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court after he allegedly set his girlfriend’s rented room alight, North West police said
The two had an argument on Saturday, said spokesman Captain Pelonomi Makau.
“It is alleged that the suspect poured petrol in the room before setting it alight. Total damages to the house are estimated at R5,000.”
He would appear in the Zeerust Magistrates’ Court on Monday to face charges of arson.
