'To restore the moral values of the nation'
President Jacob Zuma has asked for a national cleansing ceremony to restore what he has branded as the moral values of the nation, SABC radio news reports.
Zuma said the ritual would be of great importance in the light of incidents such as the Marikana tragedy, the rape of elderly women, and political assassinations.
He said people who were not cleansed, harboured grudges.
According to the report, Zuma said he would call on Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu to help lead the national cleansing ceremony.

Here we go again, another size 15 stuck in his mouth again. Mr. President, do you honestly ever believe what you say?? or is Mr. Mahahraj going to counter the press claims, again?? Why would I need cleansing when I am at the bottom of your pile (of poverty)?? What good is that going to do me if I want to put food on the table, fix my shack's leaking roof, try to put my children into school, have adequate text-books and classrooms for them to read?? All the above problems are of your own making (rapes, political assasinations, etc). What actually did you discuss in Mangaung?? I am refering to policies, to change people's lives. Act like our first Citizen, and not Mr. Mickey Mouse whose policies are so primitive the blackberry generation would wonder what planet you come from. For yours and our own sanitiesReport Abuse

Mr prez, lead by example. Stop having sex with women you are not married to, and maybe your people will follow suit. What help will a ceremony be to people who cannot even afford the taxi fare to get to the ceremony?Report Abuse

(lol) With the current culture of self-pity and dependency amongst black people, I wonder if a taxi fare would be enough, I just feel sorry for the poor cows who always have to pay the price for JZ's stupidity and intransigence
