Alleged child rapist is arrested. He is a neighbour of the girl's family
A man alleged to have raped a 12-year-old girl in central Johannesburg has been arrested, police said on Thursday.
Police spokesman Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele said the man was apparently a neighbour of the girl’s family.
Her uncle rescued her on Wednesday, when he heard her screaming during the ordeal.
The arrested man will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
