ANC leaders killed

Sep 10, 2012 | Sapa | 22 comments

Two African National Congress branch leaders were gunned down on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast after attending a meeting, the party said

The ANC condemned the shooting of Oshabeni branch chairman Dumisani Malunga and branch secretary Bheki Chiliza.

“We are very concerned with the killing of our comrades. This is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated,” said ANC provincial secretary Sihle Zikalala.

“We would like to express shock and disgust at the latest killing and we would also like to send our condolences to members of their families.”

Police spokesman Captain Thulani Zwane confirmed the shootings.

“We confirm that Mehlomnyama SAPS are investigating murder cases. On Sunday, 9 September 2012 at about 21.30 at Oshabeni south coast when they were shot and killed by unknown suspects. No arrests have been made.”

In July, ANC councillor Wandile Mkhize was shot dead in a drive-by shooting near his home in Manaba, Margate.

Nhlakanipho Shabane, who was with him at the time, spent three weeks in a coma before dying in hospital.

Two men have been charged with Mkhize’s murder.

How much money did they make as Leaders in their own right, are they leaving their families poor or something to sustain them? Politics are dirty.

The road to Mangaung may be difficult but do we have to shed blood in order to sustain corrupt leadership ? It was Mpumalanga and the ANC leadership did nothing to stop it and now it is right in KZN ? The ANC leadership never thought that it was going to caught up with them. Feel it KZN.

KZN dark province since the days of Inkatha. Those people enjoy killing innocent people. All former IFP members have joined ANC in that province and we can now see the results.
