Father stabs child and hangs himself
IT WAS a tragic Woman's Month for a Pretoria woman whose husband shot her, stabbed their daughter to death and then committed suicide.
FAMILY TRAGEDY: Lolo Ramotsela of Pretoria shot his wife, stabbed his two-year-old daughter Koketso to death and then hanged himself. Lucrecia Mathedimotsa was admitted to Mamelodi Hospital after being shot in the hand by her husband who later stabbed their two-year-old daughter to death.
The 31-year-old husband, Lolo Ramotsela, committed suicide by hanging himself.
Ramotsela shot his wife of four years during a heated argument.
Mathedimotsa, who had moved out of the family home, said she arrived at her parents' house to find Ramotsela waiting for her in the car with the couple's daughter Koketso.
She said an argument had ensued.
Captain Jan Sepato said Ramotsela pulled out a firearm and fired a single shot at Mathedimotsa.
Lucrecia's aunt, Anna Mathedimotsa, said during the couple's argument, a child had rushed into the house shouting, "Lolo wants to kill Lucrecia".
"When I got to the gate I found that Lolo had already shot Lucrecia and still had the gun in his hand.
" I went with him [Lolo] into the house. He then left, saying he was going to call his uncle so he could help them solve their problems.
"His daughter cried for him and he left with her. That was the last time we saw them alive," she said.
Sepato said after the shooting, Ramotsela had taken the child with him to a friend's house and asked to spend the night.
When the friend went to check on them the following morning, he found Ramotsela hanging from the rafters and his daughter lying on the floor in a pool of blood.
A knife lay across her chest and she had several stab wounds to her upper body.
Anna Mathedimotsa said : "I cannot believe this has happened. They had an argument like any other couple .
"We only found out now that he used to assault her. She never told us about the abuse," she said.
"We loved her husband, he was a good father."

My baby only if you knew that daddy was a heart colded m0nster you wouldn't have cried to go with him,this very sad cause a child was robbed of a life by someone she loved and trusted not only did he k!ll her he made her suffer,i was never stabbed but i see it as painful like i can imagine the cry of this child i wonder if the friend thought it was normal.RIP little princess

With all the stories in the papaers about men k illing their women and children, did it not occur to the auntie not to allow the child to go with the father? Especialy after he had shot his wife? Is that not when warning bells buzz in the head?I despise men that say women push the men too far. Nothing in terms of a fight canever make you k ill an innocent child and wife!! bloody spineless cowards
