Taxi driver in road rage attack

By Lead SA Initiative, 702 | Mar 07, 2012 | COMMENTS [ 139 ]

A taxi driver who ran over and assaulted a pedestrian in an apparent road rage attack has been arrested, after the attack was filmed on CCTV

The attack took place outside a petrol station in Bloemfontein last week.

The CCTV footage shows the driver deliberately knocking over a pedestrian before exiting the vehicle and kicking the already injured man in the face.

The police's Itumeleng Pule said the driver was arrested over the weekend and appeared in court.

Pule said the pedestrian was rushed to hospital shortly after the incident and was discharged the same day.

“We don’t have the address of the victim because he was a homeless man.”

I saw a taxi driver driving over the bag of someone deliberately in JHB CBD yesterday. This man was crossing the road and this taxi drove straight to him when he had a right of way and was crossing at the Robot.The man tried to step back to allow this taxi to ''force'' its way and he accidentally dropped his bag, the morron taxi drove over it deliberately.Some taxi operators are nothing but brainless hooligans.

Illeterate! muder-fcuker, I too don't believe is a Tswana speaking driver, he must be a kaff.ir from Ulundi, rragwe marete. He should be charged with an atempted murddder se moerrrr.

I highly agrees with Kuk*k when saying driving a taxi is a mor*on/moegoe career ya ditlaela, school drop outs, hence all of them ba driva masepa on our roads which we are also paying a third party every year. I nearly moerr one few weeks back, all the sudden there were few taxis supporting him but the Zero tolerant mob justice were already there at the scene to bu*rn those taxis, why because he overtook me at barierline, so I accelerated my, showing him that I can drive fast too, I stop few metres away from him waiting for him to face me as a man... o ne a ile go bona maagwe.

@Luv2kiss
You can see the victim is high on zol or something i mean what is he doing crossing right infront of a car, if it was me i would moer the hell out of him just like how mageza did

I so wish it happens to your siblings, you will regret your words, muder-fcuker, o marete... joer moerrr maan...

@Ayobas

Don't be clouded assshole, why you won't believe that its a Tswana assshole who did this shiit. You are implying that Kaffirs only come from Lundi? Uynquza kwedini.

The CCTV footage shows the driver deliberately knocking over a pedestrian before exiting the vehicle and kicking the already injured man in the face.
.........
.........

Please start where the event started- PEDESTRIAN POSED DANGER TO OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND TAXI BY CROSSING VERY SLOWLY

Pedestrian did not use designated pedestrian walking with right of way for pedestrians

Please also note:

Taximan should have borne in mind before injuring pedestrian:
Pedestrians have no physical protection to reduce the consequences of accidents. Any contact with vehicle or road surface will cause serious injury

Pedestrians are not always aware of their role as traffic participants, especially a homeless man (who probably doesnt even know his own name- joking!!)

Pedestrians can change direction of movement and they like short cuts

Drivers to be always alert and this is THE TASK- taxi driver failed.

Questions to homeless man:
Did you see the taxi?
What did you do?
In African culture a man must never show disrespect or embarass another man in public- did you not provoke the taximan?

If you approach this by generalising all taximen as rude you are probably slipping and failing for coming into it with preconceived notions and conclusions and someone will eat you alive!
