Aluminium overhead conductors belonging to the Tshwane municipality were found at his business premises in Pretoria Gardens
The 45-year-old owner of A to Z Scrap Metals was arrested on Monday during an inspection of his business premises, located in Van der Hoff Road, said Captain Amos Msimango.
“Three types of conductors were seized after the owner failed to give account of the municipality’s property,” said Msimango.
About 1600kg of conductors were recovered, estimated at a value of R9000.
The man was expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon to face charges related to possession of suspected stolen property.
