The African National Congress has announced that Jimmy Manyi's mother, Florence Nolizini Manyi, has passed away at the age of 80 years, after a long illness.
She suffered from high blood pressure and other old-age related illnesses.
Mrs Manyi was a long-serving member of the PE based Bantu Church of Christ. She had been involved in her community and played a crucial role in shaping the beliefs and development of those around her, the party said in a statement.
"We extend our condolences to the Manyi family and kin during these difficult days. May her soul rest in peace."
