Second cop dies after Hout Bay shooting

A 27-year-old constable has died in hospital after being shot and wounded in Hout Bay, Western Cape police said

“I can confirm that he died in hospital [on Saturday],” Captain Frederick van Wyk said.

On Friday, he was on duty in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay, with another constable, aged 26, when they were shot.  

The woman constable was declared dead on the scene, provincial police commissioner Lt-Gen Arno Lamoer said.
