Five men have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 13-year-old girl on two different occasions in Mafikeng, North West police said.
Sergeant Kelebogile Moiloa said the men, aged between 19 and 23, were arrested on Tuesday.
They apparently raped the girl in July this year and again on September 13.
Moiloa said no further details on the alleged rape were available.
A school teacher approached the girl when she saw that her behaviour had changed. The girl then told the teacher about the rapes.
The men are expected to appear in the Mafikeng Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
