LIMPOPO police were yesterday still searching for those responsible for killing three children in Naboomspruit.

"We are not close to making any arrests yet, but we are slowly piecing all the information together," Brigadier Hangwane Mulaudzi said.

Brothers Bafana Kekana, 9, Hosea Richard Kekana, 10, and their cousin Johana Kekana, 12, were found dead in Naboomspruit two weeks ago.

They had been stoned to death, and their hands and feet bound with shoelaces. The girl was also raped.

They were last seen on August 15 during a march to demand more teachers at their school, Dikobo Primary. Their bodies were found three days later.

They lived at the Montadi Youth Care Centre.

They were buried on Saturday.
