Men were stopped for skipping a red robot, only for police to discover that they were in possession of illegal cigarettes

TWO Zimbabwean nationals found themselves on the wrong side of the law when they were initially stopped for skipping a red robot, only for police to discover that they were in possession of illegal cigarettes.

The two, aged 39 and 43, were arrested by Mankweng police yesterday morning.Constable Moses Molepo said while busy with routine patrols police spotted a car speeding and skipping a red robot.

He said the police gave chase and succeeded in stopping the car. They found counterfeit cigarettes to the value of more than R50,000.
