HELP continues to pour in for the North West mother of two sets of triplets.
This week Rebecca Phejane of Setlopo village near Mahikeng was visited by MEC for social development, women, children and people with disabilities Mosetsanagape Mokomele-Mothibi who gave the family food and other goodies.
Several other Good Samaritans, who included Malaika star Tshidi Mholo, have come forward and offered material support since the birth of the new set of triplets a fortnight ago.
In addition to her donation of food , milk vouchers and blankets, Mokomele-Mothib i told the family she was talking to the local councillor tod look at the possibility of organising a house for the family.
Phejane gave birth to healthy triplets two weeks ago at Mahikeng Provincial Hospital, adding another set of triplets to her four-year-old ones.
Phejane relies on the state child grant and the father of her newborn triplets - a contract worker at Impala Platinum Mine - to help raise her six children.
After giving birth, Phejane appealed for help because she is unemployed.
She also said many in her family were unemployed.
Mokomele-Mothibi said her department would continue to support the triplets with meal vouchers.
All six children are also registered to receive child support grants.
Mokomele-Mothibi also promised to help Phejane find a job.
"I am going to try by all means to get you a job because no one budgets for three children at the same time. So you are going to need our help and we will help you," she said.
Phejane thanked Sowetan and Mokomele-Mothibi for the help.
"I thank Sowetan, you played a big role in my children's life. I also thank you MEC for your help, it's great. I feel very blessed to have such people in my life.
"It feels good to know that some people out there care about us.
