A Kagiso man has been arrested for allegedly repeatedly raping his 9-year-old granddaughter, police said on Thursday.
The girl was living with her grandparents at the time, said Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya.
Her grandfather allegedly raped her every night since January, the girl told her grandmother.
He was arrested on Wednesday after the child’s grandmother called the police.
He was detained at Kagiso police station and would face charges of statutory rape, Sibiya said.
