Convict out on parole linked to love triangle murder

A man handed himself to Centane police on Sunday morning following the murder of a man he found with his girlfriend, Eastern Cape police said.

The 21-year-old, from Macibe village, allegedly stabbed the man in a flat in Centane on Saturday night, Captain Jackson Manatha said.

The alleged killer was out on bail for the murder of an off-duty police officer during a traditional ceremony at Khantolo village near Centane in January.

At the time of the officer’s murder, the man was out on parole after having spent time in jail for another matter.

Manatha said he did not have further details.
