Her boyfriend allegedly stabbed the woman’s brother to death after she accused him
A woman and her boyfriend were arrested for her brother’s murder over a stolen cellphone, Gauteng police said on Monday.
The woman lost her cellphone and suspected that her brother had stolen it, said Warrant Officer Kay Makhubele.
She informed her boyfriend who then stormed into the family house [believed to be in Dobsonville] to confront her brother.
The boyfriend then allegedly stabbed the woman’s brother to death.
The woman was arrested while her boyfriend is under police guard in hospital -- He sustained head injuries after being assaulted by angry community members, Makhubele said.
The woman would appear in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, police said.
