Boy abducted and mutilated in Gauteng

Dec 23, 2011 | Sapa | 18 comments

An 11-year-old boy was abducted and mutilated in Soweto on Friday, said Gauteng police.

The boy, from Dobsonville, was taken near Doornkop at about 9am by an unknown man, said Captain Mpande Khoza.

The man took him to a railway line in Midway where his left ear and penis were cut off.

The boy was left by the railway line until he was later discovered by Metrorail employees, who contacted police.

Khoza said he was taken to Moroka police station and then transported to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital where he was receiving treatment, and his father was notified.

The mother was in KwaZulu Natal following the death of a family member.

Police believe the incident to be muti-related.

A case of attempted murder has been opened.

Thank goodness the child survived. This is why I don't want to have kids. I don't have the cash needed to keep them safe. I'll only have kids if I win the lottery.

"Police believe the incident to be muti-related."

Muthi is medicine!!! Sowetanliv e it would've been better if you said "Police believe the incident to be witch-craft related" C'mon Sowetanliv e, don't perpetuate the incorrect muthi meaning stereotype! C'mon!

I have a solution to this ‘witchcraft’ problem.

There needs to be a modern day ‘witch-hunt’ whereby officials pretending to be ‘witchcraft’ believers visit every single sangoma in S.A. During the visit every sangoma will be asked if they would like to have human body parts brought to them. Every ‘witch’ who answers yes to this question must be arrested and given 2 life sentences. The ‘witches’ who agree to cooperate (by giving the names of all the ‘witchcraft’ believers who have ever brought human parts) must have their 2 life sentences reduced to one life sentence.

Viola! Problem solved constitutionally.

Hi Somaartakeit,

How much do I wish to join you in your Merry Christmas & Happy New Years wishes.

However in my family our hearts are sore and sad that happiness, health and prosperity in South Africa never might come.

So we wrote to Santa, not with wishes but like mandela/zuma's hungry miners, with prayers for the beggary in our beautiful South Africa.

Please Santa, it's still possible to bring for our anc government and their anc cronies: honesty, integrity, honour, ethics, morality, accountability, responsibility.

Please Santa, if you see on the Heavenly shelves more of these humanly virtues, please bring them all as our beautiful country is starving.

I know, it sounds strange that a country with so many possibilities lacks everything what is needed to survive because of GREED AND EGOISM.
