Mr Bling took my jewellery, plus big wads of cash

'They kicked me'

"KING of Bling" William Mbatha and his friends tied up a Chinese family before ransacking their house and stealing 'over R200,000'.

This was revealed by Jun Cai in the Johannesburg high court where Mbatha, known as Mashobane, is facing 24 charges, including five counts of robbery, five of possession of a firearm, three of possession of a police uniform, impersonating a police officer and three of kidnapping.

Jun said she, her husband and brother-in-law were returning from the SilverStar casino in Krugersdorp when they were surprised by three armed men at the entrance to their house in Bedfordview, east of Johannesburg.

"As we opened the gate we realised that there was a man inside. Before we could do anything, two other men appeared from nowhere and pushed us into the house. They pointed firearms at us and ordered us to kneel down," Jun said.

She said two of the three men went upstairs to search the house while the other man kept an eye on them.

Jun said after a while the men came downstairs and asked where the money was.

"They kicked my feet and shoulders. I stood up and went upstairs where I took between R200,000 and R300,000 that was under the carpet and gave it to them.

They had already taken my handbag that had two casino chips inside worth R100,000 each, a necklace, a watch and a wallet," she said.

Jun said before the men left the house, they bundled them into the toilet with their hands tied with cables.

She said they managed to get out because there was a spare key inside the toilet.

The trial continues.
