PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma's Inkandla homestead is going to be a hive of activity tomorrow as family, friends and the rural community celebrate Duduzile Zuma's uMemulo ceremony.
uMemulo is a traditional Zulu ceremony to officially announce that a girl is a woman. During her uMemulo, Duduzile will showcase her traditional dancing skills.
Family, friends and invited guests will shower her with gifts and money.
Duduzile, who is Zuma's eldest daughter, will marry Lonwabo Sambudla, a businessman and former chief executive of ANCYL company Lembede Investment Holdings, in a lavish and glamorous wedding in Eastern Cape on Saturday.
The couple announced their engagement in September and a traditional engagement (uMembeso) was performed at Inkandla in December.
Duduzile has a twin brother, Duduzane.
The twins were born to Zuma's late wife, Kate.
