All set for battle for the ANC leadership in Limpopo

IT'S ALL systems go for the ANC Limpopo provincial elective conference scheduled to take place at the University of Limpopo's Turfloop campus this weekend.

The conference will decide on who leads the party in the province for the coming five years. The conference will also test the popularity of the two candidates vying for the the position of chairperson.

Incumbent Cassel Mathale, who is also premier of the province, will fight to retain the position, while Deputy Minister for Arts and Culture Joe Phaahla will challenge him.

ANC Limpopo spokesman David Masondo said: "Preparations for the conference have gone well and we look forward to a successful event this coming weekend."
