Bible helps return stolen car owner

God works in various ways..

A King William’s Town reverend’s Bible led him back to his stolen car.

Methodist reverend Fungile Buti’s Mazda 323 was stolen while he was at a church meeting last week.

“One of the church members passing in a taxi called my cellphone to ask me why I was driving so fast. I told him it wasn’t me. It was the thieves driving my car,” Buti told the Daily Sun.

The car was used to rob a spaza shop in Ngqamakhwe, about 180 kilometres from King William’s Town, the 59-year-old reverend’s home town in the Eastern Cape.

The police recovered the car after the spaza shop robbery and found the reverend’s Bible, with his name, on the back seat, leading them to the rightful owner.

“The presence of my Bible helped me get my car back. It’s the word of God,” said Buti.
