In the first incident a 55-year-old woman was arrested by the Ikageng police for allegedly stabbing her 59-year-old boyfriend to death on Saturday, Captain Adele Myburgh said.

The couple were at their home in Sonderwater when they began to argue. The man died on the scene and the woman was arrested shortly afterwards. She will appear in the Potchefstroom Magistrate's Court today.

In an incident in Mmabatho a man was arrested for allegedly murdering a relative on Saturday at the Uniwest buildings. The two men had been drinking beer together.

An argument ensued and the man was reported to have stabbed his companion.

The victim was taken to Bophelong Hospital but died on arrival. He has not yet been formally identified, Myburgh said.

The suspect will appear in the Mmabatho Magistrate's Court today.

In the third incident, which took place in Jericho, a 26-year-old man was arrested for murder early on Saturday morning. He had argued with a 20-year-old man over a girlfriend, Myburgh said.
