Listen to SA's aspirant public speakers

FIFTY Sowetan readers stand a chance to be entertained by SA's aspirant public speakers in Johannesburg tomorrow.

Provincial winners of the Basic Education Department-endorsed 18th annual Anglo American and Sowetan Young Communicators Awards will battle it out for the top three spots carrying R130,000 in prizes at the Turbine Hall on Ntemi Piliso Street in Newtown.

They are Grade 12 pupils Ayanda Twani from Eastern Cape, Molebogeng Tsomole from Free State, Gomolemo Moloko from Mpumalanga, Omphile Khoele from North West, Christiaan Kruger from Northern Cape and Thobeka Nkabinde from Western Cape; and Grade 11 pupils Stephen Buabeng-Baidoo and Avuyile Gasela from KwaZulu-Natal and Josephine Peka from Limpopo.

The programme director is Anele Mdoda, a top radio DJ and former Strictly Come Dancing celebrity contestant, and SA's Got Talent co-host funny man actor Rob van Vuuren.
