THE nine Nigerian men allegedly found with R3,5million in cocaine refused to apply for bail in the Vereeniging magistrate's court yesterday, Gauteng police said.

"The case was postponed till November 5 for further investigation. The nine men abandoned their bail application," said Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini.

The men were arrested last month when the organised crime unit was investigating drug dealing and allegedly found the cocaine at the men's house.

They followed a car to a plot in Heidelberg where they found the drug packaged in small plastic bags and in cereal boxes, ready to be distributed around Gauteng.

The men face charges of possession of illegal substances and dealing in drugs.
