Limpopo in working deal with China

A RECENT visit to China by Premier Cassel Mathale is poised to benefit the people of Limpopo after an agreement to tackle road infrastructure development in the province was signed.

Led by Mathale, a government delegation visited China last week to explore trade and investment opportunities. The delegation included roads and transport MEC Pinkie Kekana and economic development, environment and tourism MEC Pitsi Moloto.

The parties agreed to work together to ensure accessibility and efficient, effective and affordable service delivery to the people of Limpopo.

Mathale said Huawei Technologies made a commitment to visit Limpopo before the end of the year. The intention is to roll out broadband infrastructure in five pilot sites in the province. The roll out will showcase Huawei's technological capacities and the impact of technology on enhancing service delivery.

This mission follows a strategic agreement that was signed by President Jacob Zuma and his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jing Tao.
