Mulalo Sivhidzho 'link' to co-accused

THERE was enough evidence showing that Mulalo Sivhidzho, who is on trial for killing her husband, was connected to her two co-accused, the Johannesburg high court has been told.

State advocate Maro Pappachristoforou told the court that the statement Sivhidzho made to the police was similar to those made by the men she allegedly paid to kill Avhatakali Netshisaulu.

Sivhidzho allegedly hired Ntabudzeni Matzhenene and Sello Arnold to hijack, rob and force her husband into the boot of his car before burning him alive near Honeydew in 2006.

Pappachristoforou said Arnold and Matzhenene had admitted to meeting with Sivhidzho at the Caltex garage where her husband was kidnapped before he was killed.

She said Matzhenene was the one who informed the police that Sivhidzho was the mastermind behind the murder plot.

All three accused have pleaded not guilty.

The trial continues.
