Talks on Ertugral's future

Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral's future is bound to be discussed at the weekly Amahosi management meeting tomorrow.

This comes after a series of unfavourable results for Chiefs, including Saturday night's 0-1 defeat at the hands of SuperSport United at Loftus.

Amakhosi boss Kaizer Motaung could not be reached for comment late yesterday. His mobile phone rang incessantly without any reply.

It is believed that Ertugral was given a number of games to improve their position on the log before the guillotine falls on him.

But when asked about his position at the club he said: "Don't ask me that question, ask Kaizer."

Last week, on the Chiefs website, Motaung wrote that AmaKhosi were playing a defensive type of football

Ertugral responded to his boss' allegations in a daily newspaper.

When Sowetan spoke to him last Thursday about his outburst, Ertugral said those were his views.

However, Motaung, again on Chiefs' website last week, stated that they were not in any crisis and had had a meeting in which they engaged the technical team to assure them of "our unreserved support, hence the unfortunate media backlash".

He stated that the pressure the coach endures came essentially from thesupporters.

Motaung said management had expressed no intention of firing the coach as suggested by some media circles, the website reported.

"It would therefore be unfortunate not to support him during the time when the team needs all its organs to address the challenges ahead of us."
