Liesl Laurie crowned new Miss SA

South Africa has crowned a new Miss SA for the year 2015.

The sizzling hot Liesl Laurie officially took the Miss SA reigns when she was given the golden crown  Sun City  Superbowl on Sunday evening.

The 23 year-old B Com graduate said that she was ready to take up the responsibility bestowed on her.

"Taking on the title of Miss South Africa, I look forward to exploring our beautiful country, to see its beautiful landscape but most importantly to connect with its people," she said in her acceptance speech.

She added that: "I am proud to stand here as an ambassador of South Africa and my fellow South Africans."

The Eldorado Park born beau that she wants to be a Miss SA for all South Africans and that she wants every citizen to see a bit of themselves in her.

Liesl, spent most of her weekend responding to well wishes from her fans on Twitter who all echoed that 2015 is her time.

 

 

 

The runners-up:

First Princess: Refilwe Mthimunye from Bronkhorstspruit.

Second Princess: Ntsiki Mkhize from Klipriver.
