Cuticle tattoos: the latest trend in nail art

Manicure fans are sure to have heard of the trend, which first emerged in 2013. But cuticle tattoos are expected to take off in a big way this summer. While the trend is still fresh, British brand Ciaté has presented its own collection of these tiny temporary tattoos designed to frame each and every nail.

After rhinestones, stickers, nail decals and textured polishes of all kinds, nail artists are making way for something new: cuticle tattoos.

Cuticle tattoos serve a double purpose, adding an extra bit of flair to a manicure while also disguising the often dry and unsightly skin that covers the base of each fingernail

Following in the footsteps of Rad Nails, which seems to have coined the term "cuticle tattoos" when it launched its Beyond range last fall, Ciaté has launched its own collection, complete with diamonds, bows, stars and other designs to apply to the skin below your nails.

The Ciaté cuticle tattoos will be available from asos.com this spring.
