What is wrong with a size 36! That is not overweight! If all body parts are in proportion, than 36 is just fine! Mellow, totally agree with you! (I'd take a bit of overweight any day than a walking skeleton, thank you very much!) - as for the first psychologist quoted in the above article, you make people out to be extremely shallow, maybe because you are shallow yourself - I think and hope that people mostly marry someone, not because of the way they look, but because of the beauty inside of that person. It is important though for people to take good care of themselves, not to please anyone else but for their own sakes. Anyway, I think it is bullsh+t that men will look at (or even do more than look), at other women because their own lady is overweight - it is just a convenient excuse for a spineless man - he probably would have done it anyway, even if he was married to a beauty queen ... rather support your partner, and find a way together so she can lose weight, maybe spend more time with her - do some excersize together, it will help her lose weight (and you too), and will bring you closer together ...

Very touchy subject if you're a woman.. I personally don't know the biology behind weight-gain after giving birth, but I do feel that we men can play a significant role in combating this (especially for the married ones)..
Suggestion for the guys, encourage your woman to join the gym (you included) that way yo''ll both will motivate and complement each other..

It is not easy being a single first time mom (juggling work and baby- is exhaustive - emotionally, financially).

Sometimes I am looking/listening to her horror stories and all I could do is shake my head in complete disbelief that there are creatures lke her husband around, the affliction of these traditional men does not only affect the men hailing from rural, as in her case her husband is a doctor, and a jerk most of the time. Many women develop a low self esteem if they are fat or loose a partner bcos of weight.If u go for a good looking lady then u killed her ego klaar.It is a fact that men can even loose sexual interest on their partners if they are fat.If partners can be open about discussing their weght that will ease things.Go to joc or gym together.Go with her to parties so that u dont get tempted by slim ladies.

My mate has 3 kids, full time job, her husband ONLY visits the house for fresh clothes and home cooked meals and occassionally sex if the wife can get a break with the young one, she tells me that she even has to clean the bath after her husband has had a bath, he just leaves it, with foam and all, I asked if she ever tried to ask him to help her with kids or house chores, she said to me 'my husband is a typical Xhosa man' you know that type? typical traditional man, he does nothing at home, he himself is a responsibility this type can't even switch on the kettle and boil water to make tea. Sometimes I am looking/listening to her horror stories and all I could do is shake my head in complete disbelief that there are creatures lke her husband around, the affliction of these traditional men does not only affect the men hailing from rural, as in her case her husband is a doctor, and a jerk most of the time.

Many women develop a low self esteem if they are fat or loose a partner bcos of weight.If u go for a good looking lady then u killed her ego klaar.It is a fact that men can even loose sexual interest on their partners if they are fat.If partners can be open about discussing their weght that will ease things.Go to joc or gym together.Go with her to parties so that u dont get tempted by slim ladies.
