Colbie Caillat's makeup-free music video goes viral

American pop singer Colbie Caillat's video for "Try," which sees her strip down to a makeup-free face, has hit more than 10 million views and counting.

The "Try" video was released on July 9, with the single coming from the Grammy-winning artist's new EP "Gypsy Heart (Side A)," said to be the first part of an upcoming studio album.

Caillat first revealed the video via Twitter accompanied by the message: "'Try' is the 1st video I've never prepared for. Didn't go tanning or diet or heavily workout... & it felt wonderful!"

The clip shows Caillat and several other women removing hair extensions, false eyelashes and makeup, ultimately going bare-faced (or at least nearly so).

The video ties into a trend that earlier this year saw a host of celebrities -- including Beyoncé, Rihanna and Cara Delevingne -- as well as hundreds of thousands of other women go makeup-free on social media. The #nomakeupselfie craze raised millions of pounds for a British cancer charity.
