TWO beautiful tiny tots from Limpopo have returned from representing South Africa in the Little Miss Nations beauty pageant in Curitiba in Brazil, South America.

Palesa Masimene, 7, and nine-year-old Mahlogonolo Nkadimeng, both from Polokwane, were impressive in the seven-day event.

"There were three divisions - for girls aged five to seven, between eight and 10 and those aged between 11 and 14 years," explained Palesa's mother Musa Masimene.

Her daughter won the Mini Princess of the Sea International title, and was the first princess in the Mini Miss Nations category.

Mahlogonolo was crowned the first princess in the Little Miss Nations and also scooped the Little Miss Singer of Nations award for her performance of the late Brenda Fassie's song Black President.

Both girls attend the Pietersburg English Medium Primary School in Polokwane, and had won the Little Miss Limpopo pageants in different age groups, which earned them a chance to represent South Africa in the annual Brazil beauty pageant.

Though both girls have an armful of titles behind their names, this was their first international contest.
