Somizi Mhlongo and Tumi Morake to host the SAMAs

Flamboyant TV and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo is returning to the stage at the 23th annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

Mhlongo will host the awards taking place on 27 May in Sun City.

After successfully hosting with Generations: The Legacy actress Thando Thabethe last year he is getting a new female co-host this year.

He will host alongside award-winning comedienne Tume Morake.

“Our team is hard at work putting together a ceremony befitting the stature of the SAMAs,” RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi expressed in a statement.

“We have every faith in Somizi and Tumi that they will add that extra zing to the proceedings and leave us entertained.”
