Indie filmmakers‚ beware! Dr Malinga wants to give fans an intimate look into his life through a new documentary he has self-funded.

The popular dance musician told TshisaLIVE that he had the idea for the documentary and just bought camera equipment to shoot it himself.

“The documentary will be about my life. From me as a small child to me as a musician on stage‚ it is a real story of my struggles. I know what it is like to go without food and to face rejection. I want to give people hope and inspire them to not give up‚” Dr Malinga said.

Malinga said that the documentary will show his reality unscripted and unapologetic.

“It is my reality TV‚ my reality show. I am not hiding from anyone and I don’t care if people catch feelings. I don’t care what other people will think about me or my situation so I will show my people everything‚” Malinga said.

The Akulaleki hitmaker would not reveal when the documentary will be released but hoped to have it ready before his show at the Peter Mokaba Stadium later this year.

“My dream this year is to fill up Peter Mokaba Stadium and I am planning to do it. I am hoping that sponsors will come on board to help me with the show. You see‚ the reason that I chose that stadium is because the people of Limpopo have always been good to me in terms of bookings‚ even more than the people of KZN‚” Malinga added.
