SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago has moved swiftly to dismiss reports that the Metro FM server had been hacked to expose the real winners of the Metro FM Music Awards.
Blog SA Hip-Hop Mag tweeted images purported to be from the Metro FM website claiming the real winners of the music awards were those shared.
According to the images, Babes Wodumo 's Wololo was supposed to take home the Song of the Year title and not Nasty C's Hell Naw.
Kganyago labelled the claims as misleading. "They are all lies. The voting was not even administered by Metro FM, they were done by an external company counting the SMS votes and they were audited. If anyone wishes to know about the voting system, they are welcome to come and ask at the SABC," said Kganyago.
