I've been victimised for taking a stand‚ says Lerato Kganyago

TV personality Lerato Kganyago is gatvol of entertainers being exploited by the industry because they refuse to stand up for themselves.

Responding to a tweet about people who stand up for themselves in the creative industry‚ Lerato said that those who take a stand were often labelled “a diva” or “attention seeker“.

She went on to claim that many in the industry “don’t have (the) balls” to speak up‚ and that it led to many of them being exploited.

“It’s a damn shame! People being exploited because they fear victimization! Been there‚ done that‚ been victimized but I’m still here!” Lerato added.

The Metro FM radio host told fans in a Snapchat late last year that the industry had made her hard and “a man at heart“.

“Working in a male-dominated industry and working with men‚ I’ve learnt to be a man at heart. These people can be savages and unnecessary‚” she said.
