PowerFM pleads tweet hack after mysterious groom ‘craving’ tweet

Joburg talk radio station PowerFM had tongues wagging when its Twitter account appeared to announce the departure of two radio personalities.

In what appeared to be a direct message gone awry‚ the radio station tweeted that Power Life host Masechaba Ndlovu and breakfast show host Lawrence Tlhabane could be on their way out.

“Tjoe bbz‚ they’re firing Masechaba and Lawrence and some other presenters‚” the tweet announced.

The emoji laden missive went on to say “ku bird bird” at the station before the author admits to “craving igroom”.

 Ndlovu’s husband and manager Vusi said he could not comment.

“Right now I cannot comment on anything because I’m not aware about this‚” he told Time Media.

The tweet was quickly deleted‚ and the station apologised‚ but said nothing about the fate of the hosts.

Of course‚ twitter wasted no time with the roasting.
