Jazz veteran Don Laka recently challenged his Facebook followers to a debate on religion‚ particularly on Christianity‚ in what seemed to be a post questioning the ‘’inconsistencies’’ in the Bible.

In response‚ Don’s followers hastily took to the comments section to share their thoughts and engage in a conversation with him. This resulted in a number of people taking aim at the seasoned musician over the string of remarks which he made about Christianity.

“Jesus is not God‚” he started by saying.

“I find no logic in a god who hates sin and doesn’t get rid of it‚ instead he sends his son to come and die a brutal death so we can all be cleansed? He is powerful why doesn’t he just make wipe sin out?“

While answering the questions posed to him in the elaborate post‚ Don continued to share his beliefs.

“So whats the point of having a god that care less of other people and yet he claims to be the creator? Thanks you changed and that has got nothing to do with a god I change my life and other peoples by helping out anyway I can and I don’t need a god to tell me that‚ anyway there is none who speaks to god‚ only in your head you speak to yourself and answer yourself.”

Not taking this lying down‚ Don received all sorts of backlash as a result.

“I find it really confusing what a non believer is doing in the bible?” one user wrote‚ while another‚ Rythmic Sounds suggested that Don should “stick to music affairs” as he is “becoming irrelevant.”
