Hlaudi Motsoeneng and Muvhango creator Duma Ndlovu fight over actors' contracts

Muvhango creator Duma Ndlovu has seemingly shown SABC chief operating officer, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, the middle finger by failing to carry out instructions to give his actors three-year contracts.

And now the battle lines have been drawn between the two heavyweights, with Motsoeneng insisting that "nobody defies me, including Duma Ndlovu".

Last year Motsoeneng instructed all production companies doing business with the SABC, in line with SABC policy, to give their main actors three-year contracts.

This came after 16 Generations actors challenged the soapie's big boss Mfundi Vundla to give them better contracts and salaries after claiming they were underpaid.

Three of the actors, who did not want to be named for fear of reprisals, confirmed that they were not offered three-year contracts by Word of Mouth Pictures, despite Motsoeneng's instructions.
